Understanding Payout Sources

Why did this payout calculate this way? What does 'Service default' or 'User rate' mean? What does 'No rule' mean on a payout?

Web: Work > Job Review > (open a job) > Payout

The payout editor shows where each person's payout came from. In the Accounting report, the same labels appear in the payout source column. See Generate Reports.

  • Engine -- calculated by TeamBuyIn's rules.

  • Manual override -- you changed the amount.

  • User rate -- the technician's own flat rate.

  • User tiered rule -- the technician's own rate tiers.

  • Service default -- the rate on the service item.

  • Service spiff -- a spiff service rate.

  • Organization default -- your organization-wide rate.

  • Tip -- a tip payout.

  • Not commission-eligible -- the person is not commission eligible.

  • Non-commissionable line -- the line item is not commissionable.

  • Deactivated -- the person is deactivated and earns nothing on the line.

  • No rule -- no rate applied, so the payout is $0.

  • Recalculating -- payouts are being recomputed. You may see 'Payout previews may be out of date' until it finishes.

For how TeamBuyIn picks between rates, see How to Set Your Performance Pay.
